Rare: Letter signed by the Admor Rabbi Baruch Asher Twersky of Chernobyl
Letter signed by Rabbi Baruch Asher Twersky, the son of the Admor Rabbi Aharon of Chernobyl. Written when he was in Tarnopol. Addressed to “Yehuda Leib Yehi Le’orech Yamim”, with many blessings: “Redemption and health is coming soon. The feet are standing straight and are walking and Doctor Farigan says and guarantees that God willing you will walk like all man and you will be happy, with God’s help in the happiness of your descendants I will also be happy, I await seeing my friend in smachot, to be filled with all good things…blessed Asher ben HaRav Aharon.” Later the gabbay writes a few additional lines and signs: “Your dear friend Mordechai Herinrot.” Written on one side of a folded sheet of paper. 13x21.5cm. Folding creases, stain along the right side, overall good condition.
Admor Rabbi Baruch Asher Twersky (died 1905) was the son of Admor Rabbi Aharon of Chernobyl. His maternal grandfather was Rabbi Aharon of Titiov (grandson of the Baal Shem Tov). He was his uncle’s son-in-law (Rabbi Moshe of Korischov). In 1872 he was appointed Admor together with his brother Rabbi Yeshaya Meshulam Zusha.
