Silver Chanukah Lamp, "Bezalel" Jerusalem – Gift of Appreciation to the Chairman of the Joint from the Rabbis of "Va'ad HaYeshivot"
An upright branched Chanukah lamp. "Bezalel" Jerusalem, 1950s.
Silver (silver stamps and stamp of Bezalel Jerusalem), filigree, embedded with gems. Dedication written on menorah base: "A gift of appreciation to express honor, glory and splendor to Mr. Shmuel Pesman, 18th of Tevet 1958 by The Torah Institute for Yeshivot in Israel".
The Chanukah lamp was given to Mr. Shmuel Pesman, the General Chairman of the Joint at a party in his honor with the participation of rabbis and Heads of Yeshivot. Among them were Rabbi Zalman Sorotzkin, Rabbi Yechezkel Avramsky, Rabbi Eliezer Yehuda Finkel and others. See attached material and photograph of the honorary platform with this lamp.
