Schlemiel, Jüdische Blätter für Humor und Kunst [Schlemiel, Jewish paper for humor and art]. Berlin: Welt, 1919-1920. Issues 1-24.
Volume containing 24 issues of a satiric Jewish periodical "Schlemiel", published in Berlin during the years 1903-1906 and resumed in 1919-1920.
The issues include poems and texts by Else Lasker-Schiller, Sholem Aleichem, Uriel Birenbaum, Max Yungman and others, with numerous humoristic illustrations by the artist Menachem Birenbaum as well as illustrations by Uriel Birenbaum, Hermann Struck, Jacob Steinhardt and others.
VII, [1], 322, [2] pp, 24 cm. Good-fair condition. Tears. Leaves partly detached. Signatures somewhat loose. Stains. Damage to binding.
