Sefer Meturgeman – Isny 1541
Sefer Meturgeman, Aramaic-Hebrew dictionary and explanations of the Aramaic language in the Torah Targumim, Rabbi Eliyahu HaLevi Ashkenazi (Rabbi Eliyahu HaBachur). Isny, 1541. First edition.
Censor erasures, [for example on Leaf 4/a, the words "The wicked Rome in Italy" are erased]. On the reverse side of the title page is an ownership inscription in ancient Italian writing "Acquired with my money… Yeshaya ben Moshe Pitz".
[4], 164, [2] leaves. 31.5 cm. Good condition, spotting, few worm damages and wear. Ancient leather binding with renewed spine.
Without [6] leaves added to some of the copies a year after the printing which includes a Latin title page and the author's introduction in Hebrew and Latin.
