Text in honour of Guilbaud and Amundsen, who perished while coming to the aid of the Nobile expedition. "I was a sailor for twenty-five years of my life... It is therefore a sailor who is writing this to respectfully claim the tribute that France owes to the four sailors of its Navy who have just boldly thrown their lives at the mercy of the Arctic ice pack, as soon as French honour and humanity demanded it!...".
