AN INDO-PERSIAN SILVER-INLAID SHIELD (DHAL), 19TH CEN.
A 19th-century Indo-Persian steel shield of convex form with a reinforced outer rim secured with rivets, decorated in silver inlay floral scroll designs, four dome-shaped bosses, still intact straps and a protection pillow on the inside.
Dimensions: D: 14 in, (35.5 cm.)
Condition: Very good with silver inlay almost entirely preserved.
