ADMIRAL WILLIAM F. HALSEY
(1882 - 1959) One of four individuals to have attained the rank of fleet admiral of the United States Navy. He was present when Japan formally surrendered on the deck of his flagship, USS Missouri, on September 2, 1945. Signed commemorative booklet 'U.S.S. Missouri Scene of Japanese Surrender', 8 pages, 5 x 7 inches, Halsey signs in black ink on page six. Minor crease on the last page, else very good.
