Woodcut 40x36 cm (foglio)
Plate from the famous series of "Triumphs of Maximilian I", a collection of plates commissioned by the emperor Maximilian to celebrate his exploits. The panels were carved by Burgkmair and other artists. The woodcuts of Maximilian's Triumph were published posthumously by Adam von Bartsch in Vienna, in 1796.
Beautiful proof, on laid paper. In good condition.
